Start Over

This past weekend the Lone Star MVPA Banner flew proudly on my jeep in the Local Shelburne ON D-DAY celebrations. Twelve of our vets group participated -5 from WWll others from Korea & cold war era. I wasn't up to it as ceremonies included 40th anniversary of local Air Cadet SQDN. sponsored by our Legion Branch and started at 1 PM with inspection & fly past by 2 bi-planes then parade to center town and ended with wreath laying at memorial cenotaph-4PM.
(TOO Long for me right now & a hot day 80*F)

They had three military vehicles- my jeep plus a ceremonial jeep from local military base for reviewing officer to stand in back like Pope mobile + a M37 like HECTOR but not as pretty The Legion asked to borrow my jeep & a CDN Desert Storm vet from our legion drove it. Will get some photos this week. Sunday I dressed up with medals and put a sign on my walker "D-DAY +1" and attended a special legion breakfast plus memorial church service. Y'all were in my thoughts & prayers.

Healing going well - walking non stop with walker 15 minutes 3 times a day plus physio exercises Beverly puts the walker in the car and takes me to the local mall to chase the blondes!! But dam haven't caught any yet. Make sure you take photos of the gang in Chisolm Trail parade. I want to see those green banners flying !! Take Care& Travel Safe!

Fraternal Regards; Merv
