LSMVPA member Hubert "Hub" Ratliff passed away at home, December 18th. Hub was a US Army veteran, and during his civilian career was instrumental in developing both drone and stealth aircraft technology.
Rory C, Sam R, and Barry F attended the funeral at the Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, and were honoured to unexpectedly called on as pallbearers.
The Army honour guard played a flawless bugle taps, then managed to fold the flag under very blustery conditions. They were surprised and pleased to find a link between themselves and the veteran they were honouring, as both are drone operators.
