Start Over

The BSA Local Heroes Family Fun Day was held on 5 April at the Public Safety Training Center in Austin. Four MVPA members participated. Danny brought his M151, Fred brought his Navy jeep, Mark brought his GPW and Rick brought his GPW.

We arrived around 0730 and set up static displays and Mark set up the Pinewood Dirby. The weather was cool and windy.

Scouts participated in various classes and activities. The Austin Police set up dispalys of motorcycles, Police cars, horses, and bomb squad. The EMS brought the Evacuation Ambulance, and the Fire department brought two engines and a fire demonstration trailer.

Overall it was a very good event with a lot of interest and questions about the vehicles.
