Introductions - Guests, New Members:
Quartermaster Report: John K. presented an inventory report. Shirts and patches were available for sale after the meeting. John K. also reported that he had purchased a large T-Patch magnet at Kings Hobby Shop for $4 and suggested that the club purchase some to sell at events. There was a suggestion that we get the LSMVPA patch in a magnet form for sale. John K. will look into having that done.
Treasurer's Report:
Toby C. presented the treasury report. Dues and insurance is due for 2010.
Web Site Update:
Rick H. presented the Web Site Report. Rick H. presented the Web Site Report. Updates have been done. Please send AAR’s and pictures of events to Rick H. for publication on the web.
Newsletter Update:
The newsletter was mailed Monday the 14th. If you have not received one, please check the address the club has so that you can receive the next one.
Recent Events:
Liberty Hill Christmas Parade: Sam R reported that it was cold, but it was a good event. We had a total of 9 vehicles at the parade including John SS’s 15ton 8x8 which was debuted at the event. Parade video is available on You Tube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JssfKrQVaqY .
Upcoming Events: Danny K. outlined upcoming events. Danny will send out additional information as it becomes available and information will be posted on the club web site. Events included:
Blue Santa 19 December: Please report to the Blue Santa warehouse at 4101 S. Industrial Dr. Suite 260 between 0830 - 0900 to pick up packages for distribution. Additional information available at http://www.bluesanta.org/ .
Crockett Center Gun Show: 19-20 December.
Monster Truck Show, San Antonio TX: Scheduled for January. Additional information TBA.
Old Business:
LSMVPA Insurance Cards were passed out at the meeting.
2010 Calendars were passed out during the meeting.
The National MVPA Convention is July 8-10 in Topeka KS in 2010.
New Business:
Danny K recommended that we sell tickets for a 50/50 split to help offset the cost of the food for the Christmas party. Tickets were available after the meeting.
Rory C. awarded Sam R. the Most Valuable Club Member Award for 2009.
Installation of the new club officers was conducted by Rory C.
Madison H. presented an award to Rory C. for his service as President for the past three years.
