| Synopsis: | We have attended this event for several years now and it's
always HOT!
Meet no later than 0730 for staging. The parade organizers give awards for several categories of which the club always had a good shot at if we all participate. They include Best Out-of-Town, Best Vintage Car/Truck (1940-'70), Best Vehicle Group. At the event, there will be the usual food booths, arts and crafts, a street dance etc so bring the family if interested. |
| Details: | The parade is Saturday 11 July. Check in is at 0730 at the corner of Waco St. and Main. Judging is at 0900 and the parade starts at 1030. Afterwards we will regroup , load up and head to Southside BBQ for lunch.Drive East on US 290.
McDade is about 10 miles past Elgin. Turn Left onto Waco Street (there will be a small white painted Church on the near side of the street and a "former Texaco" service station on the far side. Continue on Waco Street about 0.6 miles to Independence Street. |
