The weather was great with highs only in the low to mid ‘80s and lows in the mid ‘50s. The partly cloudy skies made it very pleasant.
The camp ground (Madison’s pasture) was well manicured and cleared of ant mounds and cactus – Kudos to Madison for landscaping work for this event; it looks to improve each year (not that we had a problem last year). We only had three campers this year: Barry F, Jim H, and James Bi. James’s military tent was a spectacular accent for the campout. Madison had a good display of some of his collection along with his M38A1 Jeep and M37 Truck. James Bi also brought his fine looking jeep.
The BBQ lunch on Saturday was once again a great meal. The cooks spent most of the previous night preparing the meal. We had quite a few folks show up for the meal, however it was only about half of those who RSVP’d. There was plenty for second’s.
We are blessed as a club to have folks like Madison who provide labor and money to make an event like this happen for the club. It was most enjoyable and we thank Madison for his work in making this happen.
