This is an annual display we do at he WWII POW Camp Museum at Hearne, Texas. As usual, the excellent museum was open to the public for view. Our hosts were gracious with free, coffee and donuts in the morning, a good lunch and ice cold water during the display period for us. It started out very warm and humid as it got up to 96 degrees in the afternoon. But, the popup shade gazebos along with a somewhat constant light breeze made it tolerable until time to pack up. Madison’s amazing equipment display and Barry’s supply store set up were great as usual. Our period uniforms and Barry’s Monty uniform were complimented by other small groups depicting British, German, and a US Aid Station WWII displays made for a well rounded event. Unfortunately there was a low turnout from the local public as they have had a great response in the past. The public that did show up were predominantly Veterans and their families. Brent Mullins sent an M3 Halftrack as well for display. Hopefully future events there will have a better turnout. As for us, we enjoyed the event as usual.
