The Lone Star MVPA was asked by Pastor Mike Schwartz of Wyldwood Baptist Church to support the Churches Fish Fry! This was a church fund raiser for the youth programs of the church! This was a $8.00 a plate event! The fish fry was from 4:30 to 7:30 which made it hard for many members to attend! Club members were not charged for their meals. However most members did donate to the church to offset the cost of the event!
We arrived at 3:00 pm to begin the display set up! Madison H, had his 1953, M37A1 and 1953 M38A1 vehicles and full display including weapons. Other vehicles were Danny with his Air Force blue M37A1. James H brought his M1009. Other members who helped Madison with his display were Jim H., Charlie S., John C., Sid M. and wife., Charlie W., Ed Hall., Domingo M. Joey H (Junior member) and his grandmother Daune H. Sid and Domingo brought their Vietnam era Dummy to add to the display! The Church also had a Ham radio set-up and demonstrated the use of ham radios! The fish fry did not Have a very good turn out! It later was discovered another near-by Church was also having a fish fry! We did have a lots of guests looking at the displays and all enjoyed looking at the stuff! Big thanks to those who attended and helped Madison Put up his stuff!
