This is Purple Santa Claus of the Purple Heart Asso. Some of you may know Santa! He is class of 1966 W. B. Travis...Raymond D. Ray and I shot on the rifle team many years and did not even know we both were from Travis! At the time I was a E7 and he was a Captain and I told him he was full of BS. As soon as I got home I looked in our Year book and there he was! Raymond is one of 6 guys in the Class of 1964 to get the purple Heart! Ray was a medic got his wound 1968. Raymond gave me the Medic bag he was caring when he got hit! It is in my Military Display collection that I take to all the Air Shows!
Raymond is in the back of my 1953, M37A1, 3/4 ton, Dodge Weapon Carrier.
