The Third Annual Cruisin to Rosanky Car show

The Lone Star MVPA arrived in Rosanky around 08:30 Saturday October 12th 2013. The first to arrive was Sid M and wife in his 1962 M37B1 ¾ ton Dodge. Soon after Madison H, driver and Andrew G ast Driver arrived in his 1953, M38A1 radio Jeep! In convoy was Madison’s 1953 M37A1 ¾ ton Dodge radio truck driven by Charlie S. Charlie and Madison convoyed from Madison’s home in Cedar Creek for a 43 mile round trip! We signed in and took our usual saved location under the trees! We set-up our vehicles with some display stuff, got the lawn chairs out and sat down and visited! Member John C showed up and sat with us! John is a big time car Buff and several of his friends showed up also! At 10:00 the judges came by and we all answered questions! Thanks to the Judges they had noticed that Sid’s vehicle was in a different category! They found that the flyer I had used for my two vehicles had been changed during the second printing. The Judges fixed my entry to the correct category! We sat back and visited with many Veterans as they came by! We were well liked by all the kids and adults too!

All the proceeds went to the Church youth programs. The Young Church members were serving Hamburgers Hot dogs and Sausage wraps. They had Auctions of cakes and other donated items! Charlie S won an upside down cake!

At 3:00 they call all the people together for the awards! Madison H won 1st place for his M37A1 and started to sit down and was called back up to receive 2nd place for his M38A1 Jeep! Madison won two years ago with his truck and Last year Sid M won with his truck! That was Sid’s first event with the truck! Contacts for this event were: Jarrett Thompson 512-332-1833 and Glenn Gardner 512-332-6721 The location is ½ mile east of the junction of FM 535 and Hwy 304.
