Event: Veterans Day Parade
Date: November 11 2010
Location: Austin, Texas

We had a total of 21 vehicles showing up for the parade. A great turn out. We gathered in the TEX DOT parking lot and got organized. As we started to go to the bridge for the line up, some of us had a little trouble getting started. My M38A1 flooded and Ward's had to be pushed to start When we hit the bridge some were sent to the east side of the bridge and some to the west side. We gathered our riders just in time to wait for 2 hours till the parade started. We started and I immediately got seperated from Ed's gun truck. Ed was slated to take some passengers but they (the passengers) decided to overcrowd a pickup instead. Ten pounds in a five pound bag so to speak.
The crowd was great. Lots and lots of veterans and spectaters were on hand to see the parade. All were very appreciative and cheered as we passed.
We made it to the Capital and unloaded our passengers then went to Threadgill's and the assembly point (TEX DOT). While we waited another hour for Threadgill's to open, one of the vehickes had a starter destroy itself. A new starter was pulled from the back of the truck and installed in record time. NASCAR would have been proud. Once completed we assembled at Threadgill's for a great lunch.
The event was good with great weather and a good crowd.
