The Burnet airshow was a big success, the organizers believe they had the biggest crowd in their history, and I agree. The weather was pretty much perfect for such an event.
EVENT: Charity Touch-a-Truck LOCATION: Community Center, Kingsland, TX DATE: Saturday 2 April 2022 This was a charity event to raise funds for the Kingsland Boys and Girls Club. Attending were Bob H and Brad B with Bob's M151A2 jeep, Amanda B with the M1009, and Rory C with the M931A2 5-ton tractor. John B was enroute with his Ferret, but alas the Ferret had other plans. Also present were a variety of civilian vehicles including police cars, fire and EMS trucks, construction equipment, wreckers, etc. And an EMS Bell 206 helicopter.
The event lasted from 1100 to 1500 and was well visited. The kids crawled in and around the vehicles and had a good time.
LSMVPA took the 3rd Place trophy, based on kid votes. Considering that there was very active campaigning for votes by several other groups and we just quietly did our thing, I think we did very well.
