Jim and I did well at the Smithville Parade. We won First Place 2022 Smithville Jamboree Parade "Veterans Award"
We win almost every year! Jim was up Front in his Jeep with two Smithville WW2 Veterans. I was Number Lucky "13" Daaaaa.
Ho Chi Minh my POW was a big hit! One of the Judges stopped and asked if that was a Veteran I told her no mama that is " my POW the leader of North Vietnam Ho Chi Minh. She was the driver and looked like "WHO" But the Passenger Judges starting telling her all about Vietnam. I guess it work to our advantage. One little girl walking by with her Mom and dad starting talking to Ho Chi Minh. Her Dad must have been a Veteran because when he saw Jane Fonda's Photo on his neckless he cracked up. He gave me the thumbs up sign! Almost every time the Judges came by they stopped and just looked the truck over!
