Event: Chisholm Trail Roundup Grand Parade
Event Purpose: Annually Held Parade

The Lone Star Military Vehicle Preservation Asso. Attended the annual Chisholm Trail Parade in down town Lockhart. The club has supported this event for the many years. We managed to provide 11 Vehicles for the parade. We were led by our Scout Motorcycle Driven by James H. The Motorcycle was very useful for find our Line up Location. Jim K introduced his International Scout for the first time. The scout is very well restored. This Scout car was driven by a member of his family who later bought it from the Army and had is shipped back to the United States. Jim N had a minor problem with a loose screw on his Throttle linkage but was an easy fix. Our Down load was in the same High school Football Parking lot as in the years past. However the lineup location was new but very easy for the big vehicles to line up. The parade started at 10:00 AM on time. The parade was well attended by the Lockhart people. They lined the parade route sitting in there lawn chairs under the shade trees if their front yards.
This year we did not get any awards. The Parade announcer did read our Lone Star Military Preservation Statement over the PA and we did get much hand clapping.
After the Parade many of the members went to the Chisholm Trail BBQ for lunch. The food is great and all had a great visit with our friends.
