The Lone Star Military Vehicle Preservation Asso. attended the annual Gonzales Parade in down town Gonzales Texas. The club has supported this event for the many years. We managed to provide 1 Vehicles for the parade. Club Members Dan C and Madison H attended the Parade in Madison H's 1953 M37A1 3/4 ton radio Truck. Our Down load was in the High school Football Parking lot as in the years past. However the lineup location was new but very easy for the Vehicle to get into position. The parade started at 10:30 AM on time. The parade was well attended by the Gonzales people. They lined the parade route sitting in there lawn chairs under the shade trees in their front yards.
This year we did not get any awards. The Parade announcer did read our Lone Star Military Preservation Statement over the PA and we did get much hand clapping.
After the Parade Dan C and Madison H went to the Chisholm Trail BBQ in Lockhart for lunch. The food is great.
