We were invited to participate in the parade honouring the 92nd Blanco County Fair and Rodeo. As is typical with Texas small town events, it was attended by pretty much the whole community and a sizeable contingent from surrounding communities. The parade itself wanders around downtown, including a 3/4 circuit of the courthouse.
LSMVPA participants were -
John and Carolyn B with their 1943 GPW jeep
Kelly P with her M1009
Amanda B with the M1009 and M416 trailer
Rory C with his M1028A2 and M116A3 HSTRU trailer
Andy P with the M35A2 2.5 ton
Scott P with his M813A1 5-ton
The parade began promptly at 10am, so we were through before it became unconscionably hot!
All in all a great event, well worth the 1.5 hour drive each way.
