Research by Leah Christian, a student of Latin studies on Fullers family crest has indicated the following:

Fuller is the name of the crest for the Fuller family

"Semper Paratus" is Latin for “Always Prepared” which is also the motto of the United States Coast Guard

The hand represents faith, sincerity, justice

The arm represents laborious, industrious

The sword represents just, generous in pursuit of honor and virtue in warlike deeds

The cannon – well bestowed on those who have dared battle

The head represents honor

The castle represents solidity and grandeur
