Lone Star Military Vehicle Preservation Association Meeting Minutes
1900 Hours, 21 April 2010
Camp Mabry - Austin, Texas
Call to Order: 1915 hrs
Members present: Mitch C, Rory C, Toby C, Charles H. Madison H, Rick H, Danny K, Scott P, Sam R, John SS, Tim W, Charlie W, Fred W and Ralph M. Apologies to any not mentioned here.
Presidents Comments: John S from Ft.Worth attended the Burnet Airshow and joined the club. Ralph M visited with us at Muster Day. Flowers were sent to Jeff L's Grandmother's funeral (Madison H will be reimbursed $50 by the club). P-38 sales are suggested at upcoming events for fund raising. The Bomb at Muster Day netted $8.02. We are encouraging all Members to recruit NEW Members! We have made contact with The East Texas Piney Woods Motorpool and may do some combined events in the future.

Recent Events
- Military Appreciation Day, Cedar Park, (3 April)- No members attended
- Brent Mullins open house (19/20 March)- Several members attended with vehicles including Mark C, Toby C and Ed H. Thunderstorms and heavy rain turned it into a mudfest with low attendance and low vendor sales, looking forward to next year!
- Burnet Air Show (10 April)- Well attended: (in no particular order, all with vehicles) Sam R, Clint D (and Mutley), Scott P, Danny K, Scott S, John S. Charles H, Ed H (and Caitlin), Fred H, John K (and daughters), Herb T, Madison H (and museum), Austin W. Clint D helped with a G Co demo, Scott S cooked for us.
- Muster Day (16-18 April)- Well attended: (in no particular order, not all with vehicles) John SS (and Michelle for a bit), Mark C (with Juli for a bit), Sam R, Scott P, Charles H, Toby C, JD and Dad, Danny K, Lee K (with family for a bit), Rick H, Madison H, Tim W, Clint D (w/kids and Mutley), Fred H, Herb T, Ed H, Charlie S, Charlie W, Ralph M. apologies to any missed. It was a good show, we lost FOUR Jeeps on the Jeep Taxi, the taxi route WILL be more clear next year (lawyers are involved:)), the intermittent rain added "authentic" mud which helped with realism, the Vietnam battle will be removed from the schedule next year and will be given it's own weekend in the future. The Museum will be pushing for a larger role for us next year!

Old Business:
- We need to complete the roster update.
- Possible convoy and shooting day to John B's ranch.
- Website Forum was voted on and decided that it will NOT be added.
New Business: A motion was introduced by John SS and passed by unanimous vote to have the Club pay for all foodstuffs prepared by us/for us at specified events.
Announcements:
- Toby C has initiated talks with TXDOT to try to streamline Texas Former Military registration procedures.
- Lee K needs to be recognized for his generous donation which made the Huey's attendance at Muster Day possible,
- Tim D had a mild stroke 8 April and is recovering well,
- CMP will be releasing M1/M14 bayonettes soon.
