17 May 2006

Call to Order - 1909 hrs.

Members present included: Scott S., Jeff M., Danny K., John K., Claude V., Jeff L., Fred H., Madison H., Rick H., Ward B., Clint D., Mark M., John A., and Rory C.

Guests: Mike D., Dennis K.

Quartermaster Report: In Herb T’s absence, Scott S. presented an inventory report.

Treasurer's Report: John A. gave an update on the treasury and active membership.

Newsletter: Jeff L. gave an update and showed a draft of the upcoming issue.

Web Site Update: John K. advised that the site is up to date.

Recent Events: Danny K. presented an after action report on the Temple Airshow (May 5-7).

Jeff M. gave a report on Gen. Scribner’s funeral.

Upcoming Events: Danny K. outlined upcoming events. Danny will send out additional information as it becomes available and information will be posted on the club web site. Events included:
*Veritas Academy Event - May 18^th

* Houston Gun Show – May 21/22

* Memorial Day Flags, Oakhill – May 27^th
* Memorial Day, Pflugerville – May 29^th
* Lockhart Parade – June 10^th

* Fort Worth Militaria Show – June 17-18^th

* MVPA National – June 22-24^th

* July 4^th Parade, Lakeway – July 4^th

* McDade Parade – July 8^th

Old Business:

* Trail Ride/Convoy – After discussion it was decided this would remain in August, tentatively at Kaiserville.

* Club E-Z Up update – Club ratified the replacement of the two borrowed E-Z Ups destroyed in the storm at the Temple airshow. We will try to combine parts of both to make one usable item.

New Business:

None to report.

Announcements:

* General Scribner’s death.

* It was noted that the Statesman listed the LSMVPA in the local Car Club section. This led to one of our guests learning about the club and attending tonight.
