**DRAFT** Lone Star Military Vehicle Preservation Association Meeting Minutes - 21 December 2005 Call to Order - 1930 hrs. Members present included: Scott S., Jeff M., Danny K., Rick H., John K., Claude V., Herb T., Barry F., Madison H., Toby C., Jeff L., Bill B., Tim W., Clint D., Jim H., Fred H., J.H.M., John A. Guests included Colton D., and Michael C. Quartermaster Report: Herb T. reported that there was no change to the inventory. Herb will conduct a complete inventory by the next meeting. Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer's Report was presented by Jeff M. Year-to-date income was noted along with year-to-date expenses. Membership numbers were reported along with the estimated percentage of members of the chapter who also belong to the National MVPA. Jeff M. will contact those members coming up for membership renewal. Scott S. reported that the web-hosting fee is due. The club will pay the fee. Newsletter: Tim W. delivered the December newsletter at the meeting. Tim W. announced that after the next newsletter he would step down as editor. Any individuals interested in being the editor please contact any of the board members or Tim W. Web Site Update: Scott S. reported that updated have been made and is waiting for some after action reports from some recent events. Recent Events: John K. presented information on the Boerne Christmas Parade. JH presented information on his participation in Blue Santa. Tim W. reported on the Battle of the Bulge reenactment. Upcoming Events: Scott S. and Danny K. outlined upcoming events.
Danny K. will send out additional information as it becomes available and Scott
S. will post additional information on the club web site. Events included: Old Business JH presented design concepts on new club T-shirts. The design will be posted on the club web site for comment. Clint D. and Toby C. updated the membership on the trail ride arrangements. There is a Jamboree scheduled in February that we may want to attend to determine if we want to pursue this farther. Clint D. and Toby C. will get additional information and report back next meeting. Danny K. reported that there was no update on the dealership display event, and that the Alamo Chapter of the MVPA in San Antonio will be having an organizational meeting in January. New Business: Scott S. presented correspondence he received from National pertaining to group insurance for the club for a low cost. Tim W. agreed to take the lead in this matter and report back. Announcements: Scott S. presented the annual MVPA Award to John S-S. for his exceptional participation and contributions to the club during 2005. Danny K. presented a thank you letter from Hutto ISD for our participation in Veterans Day events. Danny K. announced that there will be a movie call for military vehicles in March. Details to follow. Danny K. announced that there has been another request for a jeep at an April wedding. Adjourn 2045 hours. |
