Call to Order - 1907 hrs. 

Members present included: Scott S., Jeff M., Danny K., Rick H., John K., Rory C., Ward B., Herb T., Madison H., Jim H., Claude V., Clint D., Barry F., Robert N., Fred H., Jeff L., Dave G., and Tim W. Bill S., Jeff H., was introduced as guests. Introductions were made. 

Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer's Report was presented by Jeff M.  Year-to-date income was noted along with year-to-date expenses.  Membership numbers were reported along with the estimated percentage of members of the chapter who also belong to the National MVPA.  Jeff M. sent notification to the membership with additional insurance details. 

Quartermaster Report.  Herb T. reported on the status of the inventory.  Reorder points were discussed as well as a reorder quantity of 3 dozen shirts per order.  Prior to reordering shirts the club will decide if the shirts will be redesigned. 

Web Site Update: Scott S. requested after action reports and pictures of 4 July and other events that members have participated in. 

Newsletter: Scott S. complemented the newsletter, and Tim W. reported that the next newsletter is scheduled for mid August.

Upcoming Events: Scott S. and Danny K. outlined upcoming events.  Events included: · 

bulletARC Highpower Shoot - 7 August at the Austin Rifle Club range. The Austin Rifle Club is hosting a monthly highpower gun shoot on 7 August at the ARC range. The cost is $10 to participate.  For more information go to www.austinrifleclub.org and click on Matches.  Several members expressed an interest in attending.  Scott S. is the POC.  Bill S. offered a variety of match quality ammunition for those interested.  Contact John K. for more information.
bulletClub Meeting and Social - 20 August at Danny K's place.  Members are welcome starting at 0800 for coffee and doughnuts.  Lunch is at 1200 and the August meeting will start at 1300 (1:00 pm).  Scott S. will provide BBQ, Danny K. will provide the setups.  Bring your own beverages, coolers will be provided.  Bring your vehicles, and gear.  Danny K. will email notification and directions. · 
bulletARMHA Booth - 25, 26 August at Palmer Auditorium. ARMHA request one ¼ ton vehicle for booth display. · 
bulletMuster Day - 1,2 October at Camp Mabry. J eff H. from the Nimitz Museum and G Co. covered plans for Muster Day.  Establishment of a WWII living history area apart from the parade field displays is planned.  Jeff H. requested that the Lone-Star MVPA assist by providing transportation to visitors to and from the reenactment area.  Those with WWII vehicles may participate in the living history presentation if they wish. Jeff M. is the POC. ·

Old Business.  Jeff M. covered changes to the MVPA sponsorship document.  Scott S. will make changes and forward to Clint D. to take to Maxwell Auto Group to display our vehicles at the local Dodge dealership.

A short discussion of the G503/MVPA Board of Director controversy was conducted.  Claude V. reported that national MVPA Director candidate profiles should be in the next Military Motors magazine.  He will monitor and report on the situation as needed.

New Business: Jeff M. reported that the annual insurance premium has been paid.  Members that wish to donate to this contact Jeff M.  Bi-weekly updates will be provided via email.  Danny K. reported that the Texas State Guard would not be able to assist in running the Veterans Day Parade this year.  Danny K. requested that if anyone knew of an organization interested in assisting the parade to contact him.  Approximately 15 to 20 people are needed. Wedding assistance - 11 November. Contact Danny K. for more information.

Announcements.  John K. has boxes of 1944 M1 Carbine ammo.  Contact him if interested.  A military jeep (unknown year/model) is for sale in Bertram.  Contact Carl at 512-355-2620 for more information
