Call to Order - 1:30 p.m.

General introductions were skipped due to the informal social setting at Danny and Gail K.'s home which allowed everyone to become acquainted prior to the meeting. Members in attendance included: Jim H., Jeni L., Danny K., Scott S., Claude V., Herb T., Barry F., Toby C., Don L., Glen V., Jim W., John A., and Tim W. Club guests present included John S., Carol L., and Sharon A., as well as hostess Gail K.

In the absence of the Treasurer, the Treasurer's Report was presented by President Tim W. No problems or concerns were raised regarding financials. Year-to-date income was noted along with year-to-date expenses. Membership numbers were reported along with the estimated percentage of members of the chapter who also belong to the National MVPA. Members of the Lone Star MVPA were noted as 53 with 13 not belonging to National. The National membership percentage was reported as approximately 75%.

Scott S. reported that the website had been updated with meeting minutes, but otherwise there were no items of significance to pass along regarding the website.

Tim W. and Jeni L. reported on the status of the newsletter and expected content.

After action reports were not necessary because the only event since the last meeting was the Sun City Iwo Jima commemoration which no members attended.

Upcoming events were outlined by Danny K. and club members based on available information including the Brent Mullins Open House, the Burnet Air Show, Central Texas Air Show, National Convention, Lavernia, Gatesville, and a reenacting group summit possibly scheduled for June. Special emphasis was made in regard to the May 29, 2004 event to be held in Gatesville, Texas to coincide with the dedication of the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. It was once again noted that Milburn L. was organizing this event and club members were encouraged to attend. The National Convention was discussed and the idea of donating a T-shirt and a koozie for the traditional auction was raised. Danny K. received input on who would be interested in attending these events. Specific plans were made in regard to the Burnet Air Show and contribution pricing of non-dues revenue items including the .50 caliber rounds, disposable cameras, koozies, T-shirts, and jeep pictures. A consensus was reached among those present. Plans were also finalized for food to be provided to club members at this event.

It was further noted that as in the past additional information will be provided at future meetings, on the web site, and by email as needed.

Old business and new business matters that were not addressed under other topics were deferred until the next meeting due to the informal social setting.

Announcements followed.

A motion was made, seconded, and unanimously passed to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 2:20 p.m.
