Old Business...

bulletLaVernia Operation Clean Sweep.  Scott camped out the night before the event and stayed with the local Boy Scout troop.  The rest of the club that participated arrived Saturday morning and set-up for the historical battle and then the re-enactment.  The premise was Axis forces had invaded the town of LaVernia and it was up to the Allied forces to over-take the Axis powers and drive them from town.  The mission was a resounding success with the participants and spectators alike.  After the living history battle, a static display was formed where everyone could see the vehicles close up.  In addition, the National President of the MVPA, Charles Varner made an appearance.
bulletInsurance.  Tim is still investigating the possibility of club liability insurance.  No new news as of the meeting.

bulletMonster Truck Show at the Alamodome.  The show is still scheduled for Saturday/Sunday January 11/12, 2003.  Scott will coordinate the arrival and movement for the event.  Generally, we arrive about noon and register.  Around 1pm, we move the vehicles into the Alamodome for the pit-party which starts at 2pm.  The show starts at 7pm and each driver will be able to bring in a crew chief with full access as well.
bulletBoy Scout Parade.  The annual scout parade up Congress Ave remains scheduled for Saturday February 8, 2003.  We will again haul cubs from pack 395 out of Oak Hill.  We must be prepared to haul about 60 cubs/adults.
bulletTexas Independence Day Parade.  This event remains scheduled for Saturday March 1, 2003.  More news to follow.
bulletDanny asked everyone to sign a Christmas card for fellow member Robin P.
bulletT-Shirts and Koozies remain for sale and we are running low on T-Shirts at this time.
bulletMilburn presented Danny K an award for an honorary member of the Corryell County Cattleman's Association and commended Danny on his work for the club to date.
bulletTattoo at Randolph AFB.  Another Tattoo is scheduled for San Antonio Thursday March 27, 2003.  This is the 30th Anniversary of the POW repatriotation  of Vietnam.  To be held at the Verizon amphitheater.  Static vehicles are needed for this event.
bulletThe passing of the gavel from Danny to Tim occurred.
bulletThe MVPA award was given by Danny to Scott.  Danny mentioned that Scott's 1st place win at the recent National MVPA Convention was the club's first 1st place win.  Danny also mentioned Scott's work with the club website as well as the M38A1.COM website, the number of events attended and ability to bring in new members.  He is also the first second time recipient of the award.
