The meeting was called to order at 7:20pm at the Dart Bowl in Austin.
General Business...
| The Treasurer's Report was given by Scott. There are currently 51
members and the treasury balance was read and accepted. |
Old Business...
| The San Antonio Veterans Day parade was held on November 10.
Attending were Jim W, Hugh D and his M38, Ray V and Shorty A in their M151's
as well as Jim S and his half-track and command car. In excess of
55,000 people were in attendance at the parade. |
| The Austin Veterans Day parade was held on Nov 11. Attending were 17
members and a dozen vehicles. After the event, the group went to
Danny's place of work for bbq then packed up and headed to Plaza Sautillio
for the Tejano In Action event. |
| LCRA (Lower Colorado River Authority) had their Veterans Appreciation on
November 7th. Clay N took Glenn's CJ2A. We have been invited
back for next years event. |
| Tim W and Jeff M attended the Elgin Hogeye Festival with their
jeeps. Scott attended with his motorcycle. The military vehicles
won a second place ribbon. Lots of kids and food
available. |
| The CAF Hangar Dance was attended by Kenny, Claude and Clay. About
750 people attended this years event. |
| The National American Legion Parade was held in San Antonio earlier.
Danny passed out Certificates of Appreciation from the Event
Organizers. |
New Business...
| Georgetown Air Show meetings have begun for next years event. Our
location at this time is on the infield. Devil Dog had a main gear
failure on landing and is currently down for repairs. Status for the
event is unknown. |
| Scott S received the MVPA National Correspondent Award (letter of
appreciation and patch) for his submission and publication of two articles
in Supply Line and Army Motors. |
| The Election of Executive Board Officers will be held at the December
meeting. Toby presented the candidate slate of the following: |

| December 7th event in Fredericksberg at the Nimitz is still a
"GO". If interested, contact Jeff Hunt at Texas Parks and
Wildlife or email: jeff.hunt@tpwd.state.tx.us |
| Bastrop will be holding their Red/White and Blue Christmas event on
Thursday December 6th. 4:30-6-30pm registration, 6:30pm parade.
You must have lights on the vehicle. Nobody at the meeting planned on
attending. |
| No plans for Toy Delivery this year. |
| Monster Truck/Hot Rod show event is finalized for January 12/13 in San
Antonio. This is a big event and a LOT of fun for the club. See Upcoming
Events for details. |
| Our usual events for the first of the year are still in the planning
stages. They include the Texas Independence Day Parade, Taylor Cotton
Pickin Festival, Burnet Air Show and Goliad Show to name a few. |
| Camp Mabry is still trying to hold a Muster Day event. Possibly in
conjunction with Armed Forces Day in May 2002. |
General Information and Good of the Club...

| No new ideas have been submitted for the T-Shirt design. If you have
one, submit it to Danny. |
| A flyer was presented for "Adventure Tours" to El
Salvador. Fly helecoptors, shoot machine guns etc. Toby voiced
his concern about this bordering on neutrality act stuff and the State
Department. |
| At this time, the December meeting will be at the Dart Bowl again. |
| Claude purchased a 35 foot military communications trailer and is in need
of A/C and wiring help if anyone is interested. |
