The meeting was called to order at 7:15pm.
General Business...
 | Danny reported that Kenny W was at Ft. Washington and on TDY for 30 days. |
| The Treasurers Report was read and accepted. The club currently has 35 paid members. A motion was made and seconded to reimburse Danny $6.60 for expenses. One new member joined, Lewis S. |
Old Business...
| Randolph AFB had 3 jeeps including Hugh D, Jim W and Scott S. They included 2 M38's and 1 M38A1 ranging from 1951, 1952 and 1953. |
| Danny reported the Chisholm Trail parade in Lockhart was 'not too successful'. Danny and Scott were the only two members who attended with Dannys jeep. Lots of rain was present. The parade was scaled back considerably, the staging numbers were washed off the street. The announcers were good. Afterwards, they went to Kreitzes BBQ and met Claude and Jeanne there. The BBQ was reported to be a 'bad choice'. |
| Kars for Kids has now raised in excess of $27,064. Danny provided a big 'thanks' to those who attended. |
| Scott reported he has found a TxDot vendor to query the TxDot database for veterans type plates. We need to decide what counties, what groups and what fields to secure a quote for services. A discussion regarding general geographic area of Temple to San Antonio was held. |
| JH reported he did not attend the Williamson County event. |
New Business...
| Scott Swenson will host a July 4th event in Lakeway on Saturday July 1. We have a form-up at 7:00am followed by a short parade. Danny handed out directions. The group will meet back has Scott's place afterwards for food and beverage. |
| McDade is a Club Event scheduled for July 8. Generally we will meet at Claudes in the morning as the parade doesn't start until 3:00pm. We will meet at Claude's at 10:00am or so and bbq burgers etc with chips and dips/soda. Judging is at 1:45pm so staging is at 1:00pm. Claude's place is 9 miles from McDade. Tentative so far is Danny, Scott, Jim S, Claude, George, Ron and Panteleon. |
| Bastrop Rodeo and Homecoming is scheduled for August 5. |
| National MVPA convention is scheduled for Aug 10-13. |
| VI CAV show in Houston is scheduled for Aug 19-20 at the AstroHall. |
| September is a tentative date for a trail-ride. Hugh and Jim are looking into it at this time.. Last year was at Camp Mabry where there was trails, lunch under the trees and a museum visit. We typically don't have events in September so this is a good month. Claude proposed a McDade loop of about 20 miles. |
| Gonzales is scheduled for Oct 7. |
| Hutto Old Time Days is scheduled for Oct 21. |
| Muster Day weekend is the first weekend in November |
| The VI Corp Show in Dallas is in November. |
| Austin Veterans Day Parade is Nov 11 |
General Information and Good of the Club...
| The Stonewall Old Tractor show is this weekend in Stonewall |
| Dripping Springs at Stone Mountain will have a Military Appreciation event. |
| Greg B will drive at Lakeway. |
| George O presented a discussion of purchasing Club Jackets of some type. A discussion of the Club "T" shirts was held. He will check with Academy and Rooster Andrews. For reference, a National shirt is $20. |
| Scott presented an article on the M151A2 FAV and a discussion of the US ARMY's 225th Anniversary event he attended in Round Rock with his jeep. |
| Jim Swift of "on the back porch" fame has an interest in doing something on our vehicles. George O will follow-up on it. |
| Scott will send Mix 94.7 an email of our scheduled attendance at Lakeway. |
| Danny passed out National Application forms/local applications to members. |
| Ron F spoke of his trip to Memphis TN and Memphis Equipement. |
