Synopsis: The San Marcos Air Show has been a mainstay of Central Texas for many years in the past.  Recently, as in the past 7 years or so, the show has been infrequent.  However, the show is typically excellent and the crowds good.

As with most all other air shows, we arrive and set-up before the crowds arrive.  We answer questions and provide rides for the distinguished guests.  Then, the air show takes place following much the same time-line as all the others.  Afterwards, we field more questions and when the day is over, we secure our gear to return for the second day.

Details: Directions:
The San Marcos Airport entrance is off of Hwy 21 about 6 miles outside of San Marcos.

From IH-35 in San Marcos, take EXIT 205 for SH80/Hwy 21 exit to Luling.  Take the exit and head East about 2 miles to the intersection of SH 80 and Hwy 21 where you take Hwy 21 to the left.  Head North on 21, cross the railroad tracks, pass Gary Job Corps and within a 2 or 3 miles you will see the airport entrance on your right.  Turn right into the airport.

From Hwy 183 in Austin, take Hwy 21 South about 15 miles and look for the Texas A&M Transportation Center.  Just past the traffic center is the entrance to the airport.  Take a left into the airport.

Once at the airport, follow the road around until it runs out and look for us at the huge tree about 250 yards from the CAF Hangar.

Parking:
Parking for our trailers etc will most probably be within 100 yards of our area in the main parking grass area.  In years past, we have been able to back the trailers to the edge of our assigned area.

Show Program:
Gates open Saturday and Sunday 8am to public, so it would be nice if we were in place prior to then.  However, we have been informed a later time (8:00-8:30am) for setup and arrival is also acceptable.  There is NO Friday night setup.  Gates close at 4pm.

There will be a Hangar Dinner/Dance from 6pm to 11pm May 21st featuring Sentimental Journey.

Food:
TBD

Uniform: Period Correct preferred.  Club T's acceptable.
