Synopsis:

Hello fellow MVPA Chapter,

I wanted to personally invite your chapter our event in September 26th and 27th. You may have already seen the ad in the Supply Line Magazine or in Military Vehicles Magazine, but I felt you deserved a personal invitation as we would truly value your presence with us. We have this event with various opportunities that will tailor to all the different groups that are interconnected together such as Military Vehicle enthusiast, Reenactors and Living Historians, and Aircraft enthusiast.

What we have first is many vehicles at this event. Our chapter alone will produce around 20 vehicles that include multiple halftracks, weapon carriers, 4-6 WWII CCKWs of various cabs and versions including a Compressor Truck, Command Cars, Ambulances, Scout and Staff Cars, as well as many Jeeps and more! Local area chapters have also made plans to participate, therefore we should produce many different types of vehicles and equipment to add to the environment.

Next we have a convoy for all OD that will take you into private properties off road that was once historic Camp Howze WWII Base. We will not only drive to various points but you will be able to get out and rummage around for goodies. At the Hand Grenade Training Range everyone should find and take some 70 year old Shrapnel from that stop! The mileage is not incredibly long at around 20+ miles that include Farm to Market roads, pasture paths on top of original streets, and some gravel low water crossing (which depending on prior week’s weather, you would be lucky if tire even get wet) which will not be anything that would deter those that have museum quality vehicles. This allows you to make it back to event by lunch to be able to participate in all the afternoons activates such as displays, parade, and if you choose the battle reenactment!

We will have a great time Friday night at the Hanger Event and have some photo opportunities with your vehicle and aircraft that will be participating (C47’s, P51, AT6, and more) and you can see the Bob Hope Impersonator coming in from Arizona. We also Have Museum of Pacific War coming with extensive weapons demonstration, Patton is coming, Liberty Jump Team will be here and more! Friday we will feed and entertain all participants for Free, the Saturday Convoy is Free, Parking is Free and separate from spectator parking. We wanted to make it easy for everyone to participate. We have discounted rate at partner hotel or you may want to camp in US Camp Area along with all the GI’s that are coming from all over. All we ask that you go online and register so we know you’re coming and what area you’re participating in at www.camphowzemvpa.com or contact me (contact info below).

Once registered I will email you info. If you’re registering to participate in Saturday convoy I will also send you a convoy packet that has maps and information. Look forward to seeing you there, Keep ‘em Rolling!
