| Event: |
Lakeway 4-Jul Parade |
| Date: |
01-Jul-00 |
| Location: |
Lakeway, Texas |
| Description: |
The village of Lakeway held their July 4th parade on
this Saturday the 1st of July. Beautiful sunny day for the first annual
parade which started next to the local airport on the golf course of all
places. The club had several vehicles attend as well as a few guests dressed in
'drag'.
From the start, the parade wound it's way through the little
village where the entire parade route was lined with spectators. Some
parade entrants tossed candy to the people - we tossed spent brass casings from
a recent re-enactment! After the parade, we finished at Scott Swenson's
house in Lakeway for burgers and a beer. It was a super event and we hope
to come back next year!
