Event: Gonzales "Come and Take-it" Parade
Date: 07-Oct-00
Location: Gonzales, Texas
Description:

The Gonzales Come and Take It Parade is a BIG event.  We counted in excess of 136 parade entries including everything from our mil-vehs to pulling tractors, horses, floats, cars, antique trucks etc.  You name it, it was there.

The total parade route was about 3 miles long in the misty rain.  It had rained pretty hard on the way there (about 60 miles East of Austin) but let up for the event.  Then, after loading up the trailers, it rained on the way back to Austin.  Gonzales is purported to be where the first shot of the fight for Texas independence occurred.  We had a M151A2, M38A1, M38 and MB present.  Good event - but wet!
